Describe your current position!

In my role, I handle the inflow of candidates to our IT division in Gothenburg. I receive applications sent in through our job postings, through tips from employees and from headhunting. I am the first point of contact with potential new colleagues and book them in for an interview. I work mainly with LinkedIn so a good tip if you are looking for a job or are open to new opportunities is to make sure that your profile is updated and to write a short description of yourself, your interests and your career goals. I’m looking for people with the right personality and attitude as well as the right competence.

In addition, some of my female colleagues and I run our internal network Women@ALTEN where we arrange events and activities both for professional women working within engineering and IT, and for young women and girls in school, helping to spread knowledge about the engineering profession.

I’m also a part of the group responsible for the ALTEN Student Embassy in Gothenburg where we, together with students at Chalmers, arrange events and activities at the university, which is very fun.

What is the most fun part of your job?

For me, not having a technical background, it has been very exciting to get experience and learn more about engineering and IT. But the most fun part of my job is when we hire people that I have found and have been in contact with, it’s a cool feeling. And, of course, my wonderful colleagues!

What do you find most challenging with your position?

It’s a challenge to keep up with the changes and trends within the industry and to find the right candidate that fits the needs of the customer, which are constantly changing. It has also been a great challenge to learn all the terms and concepts.

What was your first impression of ALTEN?

My first impression was that it had a pleasant and warm atmosphere, which it still has.

What do you do when you are not working?

When I’m not working, I’m either out running or cuddling with my two cats.
