Developing Multi-purpose Applications For Vehicles Using Agile Methodology
ALTEN Sweden has developed and implemented a multi-purpose application for an international bus company. The application controls functions in the vehicle such as lighting & ambience, climate, door functionality, driver alarm and several warning systems. The ALTEN team consists of multiple engineers in diverse roles such as scrum masters, product owners and developers.
This process aims at improving the user experience in terms of handling essential vehicle features for bus drivers which is vital in improving their work environment. As such, the team has conducted frequent workshops to be able to assess the needs in the best way possible, address the day-to-day work and find the most optimal solutions going forward. The work is conducted using an Agile methodology according to the SAFe framework, increasing effectiveness and optimizing internal organization. The team has been able to prioritize and handle errands in collaboration with colleagues working at both the production site and in the field.
